AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Road Patrol –The role of Road Patrol monitor is offered to our Year six students. They are required to attend training with our Community Constable. They are rostered on either morning or afternoon to control our school crossing on Drury Lane.
School Council – School Council is an opportunity for a group of Year six students to take on more responsibility. Students present their case and are elected onto the council by their peers. They have extra areas of responsibility within the school ie. running discos, compiling School Council Newspapers, meet and greet and generally being good role models for the rest of the students.
Librarians – Librarians are Year six students who apply to become a librarian during the lunch hours. They are trained in issuing and returning books and general maintenance of the school library.
Kai Tiaki – Kai Tiaki are senior students who put themselves forward to look out for younger students during break times. They wear Kai Tiaki vests and can hand out Responsible Children's Awards to students who are doing something kind or looking out for others.
PALS – PALs (Physical Activity Leaders) is a programme for senior students to engage with younger students in games and other outside activities. The PALS team have training and special vests to wear and are responsible for teaching new games and monitoring others.
